The integrated actuator (pneumatically or hydraulically operated) controls the needle to the orifice of the nozzle via a lever mechanism. Due to the closure of the needle in the nozzle, no residual material is left behind and plastic leakage is prevented. The needle is constructed in such a way that an automatic opening of the nozzle is guaranteed in case of overpressure.

Active operated shut off nozzle valve with needle are used in the processing of thermoplastics that are less sensitive and have a low viscosity, such as: PA, PPS, PE, POM, PP.
